How to pre-order as Melbourne restaurant 1800 Lasagne offering free delivered food on Monday

A popular restaurant in Melbourne is delivering free lasagne for residents to mark the end of lockdown and World Pasta Day.

While 1800 Lasagne has been selling lasagne packs throughout the lockdown, it will reopen its Thornbury restaurant next Wednesday.

But on Thursday they revealed a little surprise for residents in the days before it reopens – free lasagne.

The special deal is in partnership with Toyota Australia and will be on offer next Monday for World Pasta Day.

“To give us one last push to the finish line of (hopefully) no more lockdowns, both Melbourne-based businesses want to support local residents with tasty free 1800 Lasagne, for what could be the last lockdown takeaway!” a statement read.

Residents must move fast to secure the tasty treat and from midday on Thursday can pre-order on the 1800 Lasagne website.

The food is on a first come-first serve basis until all slots run out.

The delivery will then take place on Monday for those lucky to secure a meal.

There are both meat and vegetable options available and there is a maximum order of four per household.

A list of the suburbs to which 1800 Lasagne will deliver is on the website.
